Abstract

Almost all companies today require an appropriate combination between hard skills and soft skills. Currently hiring companies who only pay attention to the hard skills only has been abandoned. A study showed that the need of soft skills in the workplace by 80% and the rest is the hard skills. The process of learning in higher education often focuses on the cognitive aspects (hard skills). STIE Malangkuçeçwara is Private Higher Education which has instilled the values ??of the soft skills needed to keep college graduates in obtaining employment or entrepreneurship. As an application, STIE Malangkuçeçwara have equip theirs students with soft skills through culture that called ATTITUDE (Apreciative, Thought, Team work, Integrity, Time management, Usefulness, Dedicative, and Endless learning). The population of the research is the graduate of Malangkuçeçwara in 2011-2013. Total population are 675 graduates, the number of samples taken 15% of the population so that a total sample are 101 respondents. The model of the research that be choosen by the authors is descriptive quantitative research, which is a method of collecting, presenting and analyzing data from a representative sample. Research will be conducted on users of Malangkuçeçwara’s graduate in Jawa Timur. The expected goal of the research is to find out information about what soft skills needs required by the user, which can be used as an evaluation of the learning process in STIE Malangkuçeçwara’ ATTITUDE.
