Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the settlement procedure of bad loans in the operasi Serba Usaha Artha Unggul Makmur in Malang, and to know the work done operasi Serba Usaha Artha Unggul Makmur in Malang to supervise, secure and reduce the risk of credit arrears. This type of research uses descriptive method with a case study approach that provides a description of a problem systematically and accurately from existing facts or from a picture of the object studied and then make an effort to solve it. The results showed that by providing control and warnings regarding the handling of delinquent loans more firmly and effectively, potential borrowers will pay more attention once more responded to the warnings given by the cooperative, which is to perform the control by visiting the debtor directly. In addition, the cooperative also visited the debtor to provide a warning both orally and in writing in the form of a letter and if the debtor is considered not to have good faith to settle the arrears then the cooperative will be forced to seize goods that are used as collateral. In order not to incur losses that can interfere with the implementation of cooperative efforts and the debtor it is necessary for a good cooperation between the two sides, both the debtor and the cooperative.
