Abstract

Tourism is one of human need. By doing the tour, humans can momentarily let go of tired, tired and relieve stress, and momentarily forget the problems experienced both at home and in the office. Realizing that various regions are competing to promote their region with various strategies. This study aims to find out how big tourism marketing strategies used by the Government of Banyuwangi affect the increase in tourist visits in Banyuwangi. Population in this research is all visitor of international banyuwangi BMX 2017 festival and sample in this research amounted to 96 visitor. The results of this study indicate that: online tourism-based marketing and Calendar of event Banyuwangi Festival simultaneously affect the visit of tourists in Banyuwangi. That is, the better tourism marketing and calendar of evet applied then the tourist visits in Banyuwangi will also increase. This research provides advice for the Government of Banyuwangi Regency and Culture and Tourism Office of Banyuwangi Regency to further improve the strategies used to further enhance the tourist attraction. And for other regions, it is expected that this research can be used as a national issue, so that it can be emulated by other regions to develop its tourism.
