Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the influence of the work environment on employee performance in Malang City GIANT Extra Kebonsari (2) the effect of compensation on employee performance in GIANT Extra Kebonsari Malng City and (3) the influence of the work environment and compensation for employee performance GIANT Extra Kebonsari Malang city. The independent variable used in this study is the work environment (X1) and compensation (X2), while the dependent variable in this study is employee performance (Y). The sample in this research is the employee who works at GIANT Extra Kebonsari Malang City. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data collection using questionnaires / questionnaires and in the form of a Likert scale. The instrument validity test used Pearsons Product Moment while the reliability test used Cronbach Alpha. And data analysis was carried out using multiple regression analysis techniques.The results of this study can be known: (1) the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (2) compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (3) there is a significant positive influence between the work environment and simultaneous compensation for employee performance.
