Abstract

Throughout 2017 to 2018, economic growth continued to increase. This is an opportunity to develop a business. In order for these opportunities to be achieved, the role of the pattern or business model is important. Business models play a role in the business as a foundation that describes every aspect of business. For this reason it is important to choose an appropriate business model. In this study, the author discusses the Business Model Canvas developed and published by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur in 2010. Analysis of the research using this business model is considered effective because the analysis used is explained thoroughly both in terms of marketing, human resources, finance, up to the value or product offered. In this study, the authors focus on the application of a business model canvas to be used as a basis for determining strategy. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. Required data is collected through interviews with informants, documentation and observation, then will be analyzed in 3 stages, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing (Miles and Huberman 1984 in Sugiyono, 2013: 430). The results of the study include the elaboration of data based on nine elements of Business Model Canvas, namely customer segment, value preposition, channels, customer relationship, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partnership, cost structure. Based on the evaluation of these 9 elements, then given an appropriate new alternative strategy
